Possibly a dead fish stuck under something in tank or on the floor somewhere.

no deadfish.. only feed pellets. fish are complete in tank. there are times that you wont even smell anything but at times its just awful. today when i came home it stinked. checked my water para, all perfect. i sniffed in the tank and there was a minimal smell not that bad at all. but the room smelled like fish

Keep it on topic and try to help him, people. Anyone with half an ounce of sense can tell if a smell is coming from their tank or dirty laundry.

For the OP, in order to get the smell under control, undertake an aggressive water change schedule and add new carbon to your filters. Also be sure to do a thorough check in the tank and out for a dead fish that could be causing the smell.
