i nedd help. tank smell

^ Just throwing this out there... but double check your test kits haven't expired... since if they have, then it could be your params causing the smell... also, if you have things like Shrimp / Snails in your tank, i would be looking around to see if there are any dead ones laying around since they can really stink up a tank if they die and aren't removed...
 
ill check everyting tom since i used to feed chopped shrimp. but the thing is, if i smell my tank itself its not so bad at all. the room smells awful everytime u step in the room.

i recently added carbon in the emperor.. and i dumped a whole net of carbon in the tank itself. i got dats and an endli.. some plecos.. theyre all small and water parameyers are good

i know man.. it's botherin me i might just get rid of the tank in the room. as far as i know tanks woudnt smell unless u have a spike in ammonia. i dnt know. il figure it out. ive benn doing huge water changes.

it is 90% covered.. u can smell it once u open the door to the room and then its not that bad once u atay in for a ehile

It might aound silly but keeping my door closed it gets the same way. You might just need to let the humidity out of your room. A warm room no open air and a large warm water fish tank causes humidity even if you cant feel it. You might just need to air it out every now and then.

that is my first assumption regarding this smell. i juat cleaned the gravel and did around 45% WC, opened the window in the room. il see where it goes after this
