I need an answer about my tank!

If i put my two fish (Vegetarian Piranha and Bottom Feeder) in a 20g tank with a Aqua Clear Power Filter 150/30 will this be good for them?
 
It's not an advanced fish, they're not hard to take care of. It's just not a fish that will fit in a 5 g tank. Definitely take them all back ASAP and read up on cycling a fish tank.
Edit: No, a 20 g tank isn't big enough either. Find out what the "spotted bottomfeeders" are.
 
Thanks, I got the fish from petsmart too. Is this an ok place to get fish from? And i was wondering what kind filter and what kind of tropical fish and how many should i get for my 20g tank?
 
pacu look simular. does it have a red belly? can you post a pic of both. either way you bite off a little more than you were expecting. If you gonna stay with the 5g, return them and start out with something smaller. the fact that you researching (at least now) and care about the care your giving your fish is a huge start out point.
 
^ You can get a wide variety of fish that can live in your 20 gallon, just browse the forums and ask some questions. Also maybe list some that your interested in and people will chime in

This is so stressful. Im getting so confused about the fish cycling? I need some newbie help. I dont think i can do this im wayy to confused about all of this. I wish i never stuck my head into this so quick.. So i cant just get a tank a powerful filter and just let my fish live their lives?
 
Hey! i was wondering is the Nitrogen Cycle very important to keep your fish alive? And is it hard for newbies? when i read how to do it i get a headache. :cry:
