Another lesson in fishkeeping....

Getting rid of a Pacu!

Do you still have a receipt for your purchase of the Pacu from Petsmart?
They post all kinds of signs on responsible pet keeping. Why did the person not ask you about what you were going to house it in? I would speak with a manager and just ask back what you paid in store credit.

Its funny when I purchased my Midas from Petsmart they warned me it would get large and asked about my tank size. Maybe I was dealing with someone who knew something about fish!

Seriously talk to the store manager even if you cant find the receipt. Explain the situation respectfully and be reasonable. If the manager would like to make you happy and keep you as a customer he will try to help you out.

As a previous PetSmart employee My advice is to find the one person in that department that is a fish FREAK and tell them your problem, and that you want to get rid of the fish. Most times they will help you find a home. I know my store will take the fish to give away, or find a independant fish store, most will take a large fish off your hands.

Good Luck, and dont get discouraged.

magnificent isn't it!

vegetarian piranha that excellent marketing. good luck we all make mistakes. the goldfish will eventually need a bigger tank then a 20g. most people recommend 15 gallons per goldfish they are another fish that get big. i suggest you go to a site like liveaquaria.com and look through the fish, they will give you tank recommendations(some are off but its better then nothing)
