Any suggestions on how to keep her upright? I kept an airstone in her mouth (off and on for around ten minutes) before I put her in the cooler, shes now in the Qt tank laying on her side beside the air stone, shes still breathing though

i wouldnt go interfering with her. let her be stress free. if you go poking your hands in and moving things and touching her your just gonna stress her even more. i would just sit the airstones in the cooler, spread them evenly along its length and aim the filter outlet towards her position to ensure she is getting plenty of the fresh filtered water and good water movement over her gills.
dont go poking about her mouth with anything.
as for the male and fry, im unsure cos ive never dealt with any fry before cos i dont breed any fish.
dont stick nothing in her mouth, that wont help nothing.
she may be lieing on her side cause she's stressed and has no spots to hide.
you could get to ornaments and stick her between them to hold her up right but probably not neccessary.
just leave her alone in the dark.

sorry, I have been writing lesson plans and tutoring all day.
She unfortunetly, did not make it. She fought hard and I tried everything I could think of to no avail. My male looks flush and lonely. Should I move him out of the fry tank? I am scared that without her he made decide to eat the fry.
