It looks to me like your L191 has black spot, did it loose it colour in blotches or was it an all over fade? Can you see many tiny black pinprick spots?

Black spot is caused by a trematode worm parasite and, although it looks really bad, actually generally does little harm to the fish if treated. I've had it before on newly imported baryancistrus and panaque. A strong fish worming powder such as Flubendazole treats it pretty rapidly, but I don't know if this is available in sg. Fish wormers that treat it are normally sold as discus wormers, but I've used them for black pot on plecs and it works very well. So if you think it is black spot try to get hold of some discus wormer.

Hope this helps, Conrad

if thats the case why doesnt my other plecos get infected?
by the way it happened after i moved him into a new bigger tank. its colour then slowly fade day by day.

Black spot has a very complex infection route, involving birds and snails, like nematode parasites. It is unusual, though not impossible, for it to spread to other plecos in the aquarium. Can you see many small black pinprick spots (1mm across)?

So my Royal continued to fade to almost all white when my tank was dark. In the morning he would be completely colorful and he would eat too. After about 3 weeks of this he died.

I hope this is not what is happening here. I will say that I fed him potato and shortly after he begin to lose color at night etc.

Good luck...

but he is eating very well. i feed him zucchini and he finishes it all the time when i woke up in the morning. oh man, i really dont know what should i do.

It wouldn't be because of potato lol.
Whats your temps, params etc at? Have you added anything new to the tank? You moved it to a quarentine tank?

Have you checked your parameters? Do you add salt to your tank?

i had added salt and everything is alright. he is pretty active. and i notice that his faeces are white in colour. it is due to internal parasites?

Royals don't take particularly well to salt. This can stress them out, and cause more problems. White poop usually means internal parasites. Get a pic to verify.
