I need help....tank leaked completely out

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry for all of the grammatical errors. I was sure others have unfortunately gone through similar situations, but its still just as sad to have to watch something die....its the worse.

Anyone adding tap water to any tank should use a dechlorinator of some sort, how were u doing water changes before?

I have always thought I would fill my bath in an emergency but you would need to keep the plug protected.

If u read it he thought stress zyme was an all in one w/ dechlor like api stress coat! I would have prlly thought the same if my tank was pouring water.

So sorry op

A lot of people would have had everything backwards in a situation like that. Looking at the back of a stress zyme+ bottle it states the use of stress coat to remove chlorine and chloramines. Just in case anyone wanted to know.

Talk about a nightmare! I'm sorry about your aro. :(

Is the tank worth re-sealing? I din't see if you wrote that it cracked or if just a seam went.

Hope you get everything up and running and your rays can come home soon.

So I'm just making it home. The rays seem to be doing okay. I received a temporary home for them, so I guess that will buy me a little time to prepare for a larger tank. Thanks killergx. I think the crack was at the seam. I may be able to reseal it...may use it as a sump...may even sell it as a reptile tank, but its very heavy so that may not be possible. I'll be glad to be able to spend a day not thinking about buying another tank...those were the days (2 days ago:))
