I need stocking help!!

My LFS is having an anniversary sell May 3-4. Buy 2 fish get 1 free and they normally have Uaru in stock.:drool:

Should I go ahead and add all the fish together or would it be best to add one species at a time?
 
if the tank is well cycled then you can add them all at the same time.

if the uaru are really small you might want to give the a little while to settle in.
 
Be careful with the BPs, they can be pretty aggressive, much moreso than your uaru or rainbows. Sevs would probably be the better choice truthfully...you can try it but I'd have another tank ready in case they get too rowdy.
 
Don't get BPs. Uaru, severums, and maybe some geos? You could also add a school of pictus cats, maybe a Raphael catfish, or clown loaches if you aren't going for a SA/CA theme.
 
Ok, after much thought and research, the Blood Parrots are out.

I will either go with Sevs, Geos or........

any other suggestions for some fairly peaceful tankmates??
 
that is good to hear !!!!

i keep sevs, geo, sajica, cutteri, and a port acara with mine. you could do any of those or even angels.
 
i would do something more smooth when Uaru are young they have a tendency to freak out a little when the light is turned on and they may hurt themselves. Uaru also like drift wood in the tank when they are small they will nibble on it.
 
I have a couple pieces of malaysian driftwood that I am planning on putting in and probably will get a few limbs to go with them. where did you get your rocks?
