I need stocking help!!

Ok barley here they are...

Sorry it took so long. They were still a little skittish. Every time I got close they would hide behind the Java fern and the rocks. They are coming around though. They seem to love the driftwood. They have been nibbling on it constantly.
I think I need a bigger tank because I think I want more!!!!!


Oh yeah...what else do you feed yours? I picked up some romaine lettuce, a Cichlid Vegi Formula flake, frozen Spirulina and frozen brine shrimp.

i am upgrading my tank to a 220 and would not mind some live plants.

i have valisneria, anubias, java fern and crypt wendtii and so far the uaru have not even touched them.
i am going to be doing a major trim of my 75 planted tank shorlty
if you would like, i will send you some valisneria and a crypt or two so you dont have to spend money on something that may get eaten
just let me know if you are interested

mine are shy with strangers. it is funny they will come to know you and will rush out to greet you but if someone else comes to the tank they will hide.

i feed mine a mixture of chiclid gold and bio gold, some flakes, frozen blood worms, live night crawlers, and romaine lettuce.

Barley I thought you recently traded out of your school of Uaru. Am I mistaken or did you just go back? Sorry to pry...just curious. I always loved the aquascaping in that Uaru tank of yours.

i had 6 and sold 3. that is when they were in the 125 and i was running out of room. at the time i did not know i was getting the 220. now i wish i would have kept the other 3

Well shortly after i posted this comment i noticed that my uaru were checking out the vals!! Since then they have almost completely devoured what was an almost 20" tall plant. No problem though because that is why i put them in there. They really seem to like it though and i enjoy watching them have a go at it. It is quite amusing. Good way to keep a constant snack in the tank for them. They still haven't bothered the anubias or java fern though.

I will still send you (barley) some clippings if you want them when i do my trim though.
