I'm completely done keeping reptiles.
From now and forever.
What tanks I have I am getting rid off, as well as my remaining animals.

I just dont have the heart for it anymore.
Today my favorite animal I have kept so far, my bearded dragon, Died.
I have no idea why. Just yesterday I had out of the enclosure eating crickets from my hand and drinking water from a pipet.
And just 20 minutes ago I went to check on her. She was laying on top of her basking area with her mouth slightly open so I thought she was just a little warm and regulating her temp.
I opened the lid and she didnt move at all.. So I picked her up and she was completely limp...
I tried giving her some water because I thought maybe she was just dehydrated but she was already dead.
I don't even know what to do, i just set her body back down on a towel in her enclosure with the lights off..

I am done forever.

It happens I guess.
I just cant figure out why.
Eat and drinking normal and all of the sudden she's dead.
It was a little warm in my room, but the hot side of her cage was 99F at the hottest and I put a lower watt lamp on to make it a little cooler.

Sorry, dont give up!

Sorry to hear that man, but don't throw in the towel just yet. We've all had our ups and downs. It happens to the new and old alike. It's just part of the hobby.

If I'm not going to quit, I think I'm going to take a very long break.
I was planning to sell the bearded dragon enclosure.. but I might just set it up for the leopard gecko.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

It happens..
I just wish I knew why.
Like I said, just yesterday I had her on my bed running around.
She was eating crickets and drinking water just fine.

I'm planning to disinfect the cage completely, add more hides and maybe move my leopard gecko into it, I'm sure it would like all the extra space and lots of hides.
