In a 20 gallon long i have a gt baby, a oscar about 2 inches and a jd who wants to kill them both. I put a divider up and he runs up to it trying to get at my oscar and gt. Should i bring him back and get another one or something else?

take back the jack. While your at it, maybe take the oscar and the gt too....

Well, from what i hear Gt's and jd's hate each other and do not make good tank mates, but i also heard somewhere that JD's when there younger are very easily bullied and generally arn't that agressive until they are a bit more grown. If you like the look of jack dempsey's, I hear that EB Jack dempseys are alot less agressive and easier to keep with other tank mates.. But if its worrying you that much maybe take him back?
im in the process of buying a tank from craigslist this week. Its a 75 gallon and it will duo for not and i know ill need a lil bigger tank later on. I was thinking of a another oscar but that probly isnt a good idea. The grren terror is too small so idk how aggressive he will be but if he is he will go back to. I want to keep the oscar cuz it was my first fish and i decided i wanted to keep another.
Well green terrors can be an agressive fish, from what they say they don't really enjoy tank mates but in a 75 gallon it should be fine, and 2 oscars might work but ive seen them gang up on other fish, also they seem to just eat and poop seriously.. messy fish lol
If we're talking about aggression, if sizes were exactly the same, generally speaking, in my experience, from most aggressive to least: Jack, GT, Oscar. (GT & Oscar close)
well would a GT, Gold sev, and 2 oscars be ok in a 75 for a while. Also forgot to add that my 55 gallon is up and running just waiting for levels to get right b4 all fish go in it.
