That's awesome, congrats!

Do the mated pair bond, or after they mate do they start beating on each other again?

i think there's a myth going around that you cannot host more than 1 in a tank. i disagree.
2 in a small tank will initially fight to set the dominance. This can take 2-3days of fighting then peace.
males are lot more agressive then the girls.
after i removed the eggs, female was like a dead fish for a day (i mean hardly moving and even move it's gills!) the male was normal. saw a bit of male bullying but that was for like 1 hour (i disturbed the tank a little while trrying to get the eggs so that could be the reason why the male was acting bit tougher probably to defend territory).

now on with the mating behaviour since not many in the world would have seen this.
first female and male kinda look like they are kinda fighting or flaring.
then the female gets into position (she was up virticle with head up) going up and down slowly, while the male will be in horizontal position moving back and forward and some times opens it's mouth up really big (kinda gives me the impression of dragons roar). this might go on for about minute or 2. Once female stays still, the male will appoarch her horrizontally until the males touches it's genitals (the little hole they have underneath their neck) with females same region.
it seems the sperms are deposited to fertilise batch of females eggs as then she sticks bunch of them.
this session lasted 10+ minutes.
the female will then gets chased a bit from the boy and she lays down and plays dead while interestingly the other female in the tank then came to either eat the eggs or mate??? but the male was mildly aggressive in defending the region while the female was resting. (while the pair was mating, this other female was just hiding underneath then).
after few minutes, then repeat the above steps.

more will follow.
