Thanks! These two are setting up on one side of the tank. (I don't clean the glass often!!)

Thanks!

Need help from the experts. It appears that two have paired off and are defending an area of the tank against the other three.

What would you suggest is a good item for them to (hopefully) breed within? The pvc tubing (4") I expect is too small for their size, and a flowerpot is not really "cave-like."

I have this - would this work? Any other suggestions?

That might work, or pump up the PVC a size if possible. Also put in some large pieces of driftwood!!!

That red is just crazy though man! I LOVE IT!!!

What are your pH and hardness parameters at? Man mine have such a long way to go before they look that nice! *sigh*

Thanks, they are fun to keep. I'll follow-up on water parameters.

Man I love these pikes! You've gotta pair, thats one HUGE hurdle. Next one will be difficult too, but I believe you can do it!!

Looking forward to more pictures! Many more! With babies! :D Still waiting on those parameters btw! ;)

Me too! Thanks!! I think I have two pair - a fifth one is getting nailed in the middle between two territories where each pair is hanging out together. Water parameters are as follows: hardness is 200ppm, alkalinity looks like 60 ppm, and ph is at 6.8. In the tank I have 3 pieces of driftwood and a modest amount of almond leaves.
