just make sure to split up the line of sight and get more decor for the fish tank that will cut down on the aggresion but im sure u already know this. good like man and beautiful pikes.
I divided the tank and each pair are getting along. The fifth wheel, a female, is in her own tank. I've been introducing almond leaves, adding a couple after each water change. I will add a filter bag of peat later this week. Each female is getting a pronounced abdomen that is noticebly pink in color - below are pics of each female.
Those are some of the best looking Crenicichla on this forum if you ask me!! Just incredible!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! If mine even come close to that I will be astounded and very pleased!!
I am glad to see you're having success with the lents! You've gotten a whole lot of color out of them. It was hard to give them up, but I only had one 125 and two 125s would be pushing things with my wife. Perhaps I'll need to get the ball rolling on another 125 for some lent fry down the road.
Update, I got one of these pairs back....now each pair has their own 125. I think. Scott your pair is in a 125 right? I got a little current going, but i want to add more. Here is the set up.
Congrats on the awesome pairings! How are they doing now?
I've got a female rio tapajos lent myself... and a friend of mine has a female as well (he had a pair, he actually took the male from my female when we bought the pair) but the male died during a tank move . Good luck with this! Great to see!
