2 more things. Dont use the water condicioner ,avoid quemicals as much as you can. If your citys water has to much clorium use botled water insted
Second...REPTILE LEACHES
Ive hadded whit them, thouse nasty turturing devices
Dont buy them. There´s a very small chance that your monitor will tolerate such a thing. Most lizards once putted on one of thouse will completley freak out because they fell them and cant free themselfes. That causes them to become very stressed and more untamed. Most lizards simply hate them. Also there´s leaches and leaches. Some are simply put dangerous. One time I took one of my iguanas to the vet for a chek rotine (X-rays and blood work since she was gravid) and the vet told me that in the same week a iguana came in with its back brocken because of a leache. That ig its still alive but has a lot of dificultys using its back legs. As it turns out the owner took her to a local park "for a walk" and then the ig saw a dog, completley freaks out, goes out of the owners control and tries to hide on a pipe but the leach its still tied to its waist line.
Dont use leaches or at least dont use them on your lizard untill you know him better. Lizards are not like dogs ,cats or ferrets, they will not follow you. The potencial hazzards of thaking your lizard outside far surpass the potencial beneficts of a "walk". If you want your lizard to benefict from sun ligth and fresh air build him a secure outdoor habitat. The only exepsion to this are thouse really large and dog tame lizards that maybe trained to use a leach. But there´s no garantee your lizard is going to turn that way. And ironicaly thouse big lizards dont need a leach since they are so tame
