I think my blue aro is dying

I could put it in my 10g. it has a small HOB and sponge filter, both are rated for 10g tank.

cant see it being a problem as it wont be feeding so the ammonia and nitrate levels shouldnt increase a great deal just keep an eye on the params - plenty of oxygen. maybe keep a dark towel over the tank to keep out any light - most importantly of all keep us posted - hopefully some of the experts will chime in too... good luck i have my fingers crossed for ya.

An spit fins or signs of aggression from the silver? There are many people who have seen there aros mysteriously die with symptoms much the same as yours. Could be that the aro has jump and hit the top of the tank and injured itself internally.

well....sad news, it didn't make it. RIP...it's 8" long.
there's no sign of aggression from the silver, if I have to say, the black is the more aggressive one, once it actually chased the silver away from where it usually hangs, that's the only time I noticed if there's any aggression between them.
there's no spit fins other than the couple small ones it already had before I add the silver. probably from running into plants or driftwoods when I was doing water changes.
I hope it's nothing caused by my water and I hope my silver will make it, so far it's doing fine and still very active.

Thanks...
it's times like this make me feel like either want to get out of the hobby or just go get more fish, it's like some people go shopping when depressed and some people would just jump off a tall building.
