Yes tall makes for much better viewing and overall aesthetics. I debated for quite awhile when buying my large tank. Didn't know if paying an extra 700 bucks for 6 more inches of height would be worth it. Now every time I look at the tank,:popcorn: I'm soooo glad I did.:headbang2

Cleaning/maintainence, well now that's another story:irked::ROFL:

yup, agreed! viewing really is great with tall tanks!

Nothing against wide tanks though, as tall and wide would be ideal.

Yes actually if you go big on all three dimensions, length, width, and height then it's a win, win, win situation.

indeed, a wall of water effect, as in the displays at public aquariums as has been mentioned.

I don't think i've personally seen one of those on this board - do they exist in home applications?
