Personally I have no problem with you eating your fish if it outgrows your tank and you can't rehome it. After all, you did buy it and can do what you want with it.

Maybe if you just eat it less people will be pissy about your for sale ad

surely more fish die in the wild, but moreso to predation than bad living conditions one would think.

I personally think pacu, rtc, tsn, arapaima, etc etc should be banned from sale. Esp paima though. Unless you have something that's 10000+ gallons you have no business owning one.
