I think you over feed your fish!

I feed 4-5 days a week in most tanks. Puffers twice a week. I know I don't overfeed them and they are much more alert and attentive to what goes on outside the aquariums.

This is a benefit as well, fish remain alert to your actions at stay fit.

I feed 3-4 times a day. very small amounts, never any left over. I feed something different every time I feed them throughout the day.

I think this can work, but only if you have access to your fish for the entire day.

I feed my 2 armatus on Saturday and Sundays then they starve for the rest of the week until feeding time again. They are on live minnows only (that's all they want and aim for :(

Its a good plan I think. As i'd imagine most ultra-predators are on the brink of at least being really hungry if not starvation in the wild.

I sort of try to imitate the wild and be sporadic - or maybe I am just lazy! I usually skip a couple days a week but also I usually feed twice a day once or twice a week, and the rest of the days just once. That said, I have some tanks where the fish really need to be fed pretty regularly - my darters get skinny if I don't feed often enough, as do my Elephantnose fish. My big cichlids seem to get a lot more aggressive if they skip more than one day in a row being fed. Also obviously if I am trying to growout babies fast they need lots of feeding.

Your right, it's definitely situational.

I feed my fish 1 time a day after I came home from work, I feed them a bit more day before water change schedule and skip feeding on water change day, I'm thinking to feed them 3 times a week now or every other day.

I feed mine once in the morning, once at night; I want my fish to grow big, but I'd never power feed at the expense of their health in the long term

Yeah, you don't want to power feed. I've done that with disastrous results.

I currently have only a congo puffer who gets fed 3 days a week. Before the puffer when I had cichlids I would feed twice a day with a fast day in the week. My puffer is very attentive to me, but when I first got him I was trying to feed everyday and he would refuse to eat then I stopped feeding so often and now he comes out of the sand to the glass when I approach the tank.

I feed once a day, varying times between 6-10 pm usually, and skip wednesdays generally but at least one day a week. I change water at least one time a week between 30-50% and sometimes I get a few 10% changes in during the week. Fish are all great and tanks are clean. Diet consists of DIY gel food made out of carnivore and massivore pellets, tilapia, silversides, shrimp 1-2 times a week, and blood worms soaked in vitachem. BOOM!
