my kitty is ok with my giving her a bath at the sink but ... she didnt like walking the back of my tank we set up ....she fell in ... my b/f had taken off the hood to do a cleaning .. well . she didnt like it and neither did my pacu i could of had a serious problem there thank goodness i didnt!
Sometimes cats do stupid things that call for baths or,in my case,showers,LOL
rolled around in motor oil out in the garage?
laying down in the litter box?
toss em in the shower and close the door behind em,come back in 5-10 minutes and soap em up with the good ol' "Fur-so-Soft" or whatever and close the door again....come back in 5-10 minutes and wrap it in a towel and dry it off....there you have it,clean kitty and minimal scratches

sounds like you are experienced!!
I give my kitties baths every 3-4 months in between seasons to get rid of dead hair from temperature changes and shedding. I also do this with my little rabbit and ferret. The ferret definately needs baths more often than the cats though. The oils are important for out door cats but not so much in door cats as they are always in a clean enviroment(hopefully). It also helps moisturize their skin and keeps from getting dry flakey skin but if you buy special formulated shampoos for cats it replaces it with moisturizers and natural nutrients to help their skin and hair. They also have shampoos that do not get rid of oils. Only shampoos with pH's above 7 get rid of oils like hand soap and such. Cute pictures reminds me of bathtime for my kitties lol.
