I give my kitties baths every 3-4 months in between seasons to get rid of dead hair from temperature changes and shedding. I also do this with my little rabbit and ferret. The ferret definately needs baths more often than the cats though. The oils are important for out door cats but not so much in door cats as they are always in a clean enviroment(hopefully). It also helps moisturize their skin and keeps from getting dry flakey skin but if you buy special formulated shampoos for cats it replaces it with moisturizers and natural nutrients to help their skin and hair. They also have shampoos that do not get rid of oils. Only shampoos with pH's above 7 get rid of oils like hand soap and such. Cute pictures reminds me of bathtime for my kitties lol.

Nice that you do that for them..i am sure even if they do not like it while they are having it ..they feel good all over afterwards.. nice nap follows:D

lol those poor kitties! my hubby and i TRIED to sink bathe my 2 grown cats a few months ago and my hubby got scratched so bad, and the cats were absolutely traumatized. we will never do it again. im allergic to cats, so we use a product called Aller-c you put it on a wet cloth and run it over their fur-- it removes dander..

thats as good as it'll get. lol

I love that picture of the cat clinging to the faucet!!!!!

I just remembered trying to give my friends cat a bath, ended up with the furball wrapped around my face.
