i wana sell the s14 to buy ae86... should i????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I say keep the S14. The 240sx/silvia is one of the few japanese cars I want to own and build at some point in my life. I got a ride in a gutted s13 240sx with a SR20DET swap a few years ago and I've wanted one ever since.

gtr's own i currently own a r34 gtr and r35 gtr...got the r35 imported from overseas and now only me and another car dealer in the whole W.A. hav one

keep the s15 it's more stabil and stabil for more power .
i know what i'm talking about , i'm race technician and througout the day a normal car mecanic.

greetings

i say if you can pick up a decent ae86 get it they will be a thing of the past in a few years just like a decent early 90s honda in the us but what i would do if i was in your place i would try to find an r30 or like a 71 skyline(classic) im also a big fc fan

a r30 would be dirt cheap.

but great condition or ever decent condition classic GT-R from the early 70's are much larger money.

And they are one of the most drop dead gorgeus cars out there if properly restored. (IMO).

I loved the r30 ever since i saw the tomica and i dont think they are quite as common. I think the same with the crown cars i would love to get a hold of a early 90s chaser. Yeah the old gtrs are just amazing if i can find a decent 510 i would buy they are not to bad in sthe state mainly because is a 510 and not a skyline but they can look just as good.

AE86 + F20C from an S2000 would be the best of both worlds. 240hp + light car = hella fun, but also good economy and reliability.

Leave the F20 in the S2000 and get that instead of the 86. The handling is unmatched, like a go cart on rails. Ask me how I know.:D

LOL! I'm sure you know what you're talking about, but he has an S14 not an S15. :grinno:

That aside, your points are valid if he's building a race car (and I would agree with you that an S15 would make a far superior platform for racing, for drift or circuit), but if he's just after a fun weekend road car then an AE86 is something a bit more special and unique IMO. I've got a think for oldschool japanese cars, and the AE86 is right up there with the early skylines in terms of being a japanese classic.
