what kind of problems do they have?

alot! they have the most problems out of any breed out there! i hope you have the loot! before they came to the states (usa) they didnt have many health issues until they started breeding them here! the original english bulldogs didnt have a bad underbite either!

Bulldogs are probably the least functional dog breed available. If you want something that can actually do things with you like jog, run beside a bike or even go for long walks you may want to re-think your choice.

this kind lol. in bootcamp i had to pick up after the dog lol, i felt honored lol.

they are only £400 here - $800 :D lol its the next dog on my list....

I have a 3 year old male.
Lets see what problems he has had. Paid $1600 dollars for him to begin with, Spent that atleast 3 times over in the first 3 months.
First he only had one testicle ( not just an undescended one he only had one)
Had an allergic reaction to something ( never did figure out what it was ) spent two days in the doggie ER ( blood tranfusions that whole nine yards)
Had a bad knee that slips out pf place completely.
LOves the water and to swim but still has not figured out that he CAN NOT swim yet. Constantly pulling him out of the lake when we go fishing.
Has demodecic mange ( the genetic one) if he gets stress or we send him to the baby sitters for a few days. All if his hair falls out ( now there is strange site)
I would not trade him for anything but probably not own another one.

same here every year it was more vet bills then more vet bills. I loved my bullie for his entire short life 5 years. But I will never buy another one nor recomend the breed to anyone...When in doubt talk with your vet and watch his eyes shine after you tell him you considering an english bulldog.. He can retire a few years earlier after all the visits you'll be making with him for on going treatments.........

I agree, I have had bully breeds my whole life. Most of them have a lot of genetic health issues....I have never any issues with my pits though.... My brother got a bandogg from a breeder in colorado almost 2 years ago, he has had NO health issues yet. I just picked up a puppy 3 months ago, will post pics soon, he is a monster so far...he is gaining about 2lbs a week!!!! Here is the link, they are great dogs with tons of drive!!! clicky
