No way. You and your mandarins always wanting to push the limits...tsk tsk.
well whats the fun in doin somethin you know is possible :)
i shoot for the impossible as long as there is no chance of fish getting killed.
i think i will try the mandarin. we are really not busy at all and i would have all the time in the world for this tank, and i have a mini fridge and sink right in our office in spitting distance so water changes and feeding wont really matter.
i found a guy sellin a 8 gal bio cube for 70 bucks. used for a year with all kinds of extras. do yall think thats a good deal? its either that with the mandarin or my lfs has a 2 gal picotope thing that i would just load with zoas and (mu)shrooms ;) and maybe some other corals and shrimp. but a mandarin would be really cool to watch hunt. if i see him not doin great there is a lfs a mile away so he can be saved no problem.
if i dose an entire bottle of copes about a month before i put him in i thinkl that shoudl work. some really crazy pourous rock for them to hide and breed in and bam done.
i will get a tiny one so he is not super cramped, and maybe grow them out and trade for a smaller ones as they out grow the tank

You would need to feed pods every day, a lot or pods. If its something you want to try, then go for it, but I really think you need to install inline with the tank a 40 gallon fuge with a good pod population to make it work...lol

What are the "extras" coming with the 8 gallon cube?

ok so now i need to convince my boss to let me use my drawers for a sump i guess lol
i can dose pods every day i guess.
im not sure of everythin but i want to go look at it soon but i am buying a 400 dollar snake to so this might have to be put on hold for a month. the guy doesnt mind waiting so thats good

Always go with the biggest tank you can have. Especially with what you are trying to do. I am not one to talk about restraint, and I have definitely experimented before...so we will see what happens I guess. Heres hoping for the best!

What sort of snake are you getting?

he well in this case i want the smallest i can get away with. i just think a micro reef would be amazing. thanks! i might just do the 2 gallon with a few small corals and grow outs for my 90

thanks man. i cant wait till she can breed. should only take another year. she is a late 09 and at about 250 grams. already eating rat pups :)
i cant wait to see the super. the guy who has him isnt very good at taking pics so i cant wait to see his real colors

So you already have the second one? You are going to breed them?

I think you owe me a favor... :D

actually the guy with the super pastel fell thro :(
but i still have a pin stripe and a mojave to breed to the spider so we are good there. but a super pastel will be added to the list very soon :)
i decided to use the money i saved for this super on a new rack :) its an animal plastics 9 level rack. should have plenty of space for my breeding stock.
as soon as i get babies i will let you know fleshy :) you guys will have first dibs after my local store owner bc i trade him alot for new morphs.
