I want a paroon shark

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah but let me know what you hear on this because I'm very interested. George just about always know his stuff when it comes to legality and what not thats kinda why I took his word as fact on Paroons.

I agree with that and my source has told me that is what his suppliers have told him...His is the last shop that I actually saw one in and I told the thread starter to look into it but the fish had already been sold.I have also heard that these fish are also successfully bred in some countries in the east but that still wouldn't keep them from being banned here.

It's 50/50 half say they are banned half say they aren't and it's a cousin of them. I found 2 4" ones shipped to my house for 175$ for SoCal what you think?

Hard call,I mean the last ones I saw online were forty bucks each plus shipping but they were a little smaller than that.Who knows if or when any more will come through locally or otherwise so if you can handle the price then jump on it.

can you tell me where online you found these?!

It's probably a restriction at best.

They're extensively bred as food fish in Asia. I think this has more to do with misleading fears that the fish may be Pangasianodon Gigas or Wild-Caught. Which is plain BS when you consider that, currently, 90-99 percent of the captive Pangasius stock is CB unless it's one of the lesser known species (Which, I know for a reasonable fact that, save for Pangasius Larnaudi, none have entered the western pet trade so far).

I found a vendor in southern Cali that says he just got them in. I don't mean to say anything and but he seems a little sketchy. And I am honestly debating even placing the order he has no website or anything.... With that said he has a good feedback score here on Mfk but no sales in the last month. So like I said I may be judging a book by its cover. And could be completely wrong. He just didn't seem to know a lot about the fish ect ect. And they are 40$ each shipping is what kills the price 2 to my door here in PA is 175$ like I said.
