  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think it is great that you posted this thread so you can get lots of info before you actually make your purchase..you will know the negatives and positives.. and if he will be in a 55gal forgot about any other tank mates.. too close in proximity with another fish for an RD.. :)

Thanks I am a student of the game and I wont be the one getting flamed anyday! I pretty much figured no tank mates. Is it just the aggression or the size of the tank?

I will soon learn how to post properly just bear with me guys I'm getting it!

when you get some time you should do a search of RED DEVIL on here and you will be surprise how many threads and posts and pictures there are of RD's.. you can learn alot about RD's personality and all the trouble they get into and all the funny comical stories... they are awesome!:D

There is a huge amount of info, I will deff do that more! And i cycled with live barbs, mollies, platies, and guppies. There is really no need to look farther for research. Matter of fact instead of arguing with lfs' I simply tell them all to join and just leave it at that!! Soon I will corrupt them all (in a very good way) and hopefully help make the game much much more desirable in this area (Eastern washington state) so the supply and demand will bolster! and next thing you know we will be on the fish map!

You got it!

In the general area I have a couple fish that i grabbed And they had a very used acrilic that i grabbed i think its a 100 I put them in my 55 show for now can anyone help? and how do you move a thread if you later think you will get better results elsewere? it is "please help me i.d these 2 guys!!! Thx in advance to anyone who helps me out!!

I know I will hear about this but I have a 12" female Red Devil in a African Cichlid 220 gal tank with about 30 other little fish including 1" Yellow Labs and she is very peachfull. She loves it in there and has been in there for almost a year. I put her in with a male Red Devil to see if I could get them to breed and she didn't last ten minutes with him. He has to be kept all alone. He is mean as fire.

Bottom line is they are all different but some can be calm and not really agressive but that is definatly not the norm.

What if I get a tiny baby.....how long till he starts too aggress? is there anything that would leave him alone? I will be doing a major upgrade in the near, but i dont wan't carnage. I guess I have ants in my pants a lil bit. They say they can get a true RED. Speacial ordered it right there. How can I tell if it is the real deal when young? I really prefer the mouth on a red as opposed to a midas! It will be here on thur next week. No obligation to buy as they sometimes carry one.
