i want to buy a lizard

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My giant day gecko is entertaining to watch. They're really quick too. You'll want a fairly big terarium for them though, around 55 gallons and well planted.

nice... what i meant by playfull is you can handle them and you can let them out and let them run around the room and stuff but can you take geckoes out and for how long???

I would not let a gecko run around the room.... I think what you want is a bearded dragon. They need about a 55g terrarium, or a homemade with similar dimensions, but they are awesome creatures. Some even seem to like being handled, and if you want you can let him run around a room with a closed door. After the initial things they are easy to care for. You need an under tank heat mat, a heat lamp for basking, a UVB light... and thats about it! They eat a mixture of salad and crickets.
Good luck

what ? lol... thats not really possible, or wise... by any means. :screwy:

I think the only thing that would work for you would be a bearded dragon. They are tolerant to some degree, and can become adjusted to handling.

Put it this way... Lizards aren't really for holding that much... When you see somebody handling a herp, its usually one of only a few species... Mostly bearded dragons, sometimes some Monitors / tegu's or iguana.

Id suggest looking for a lizard you don't mind watching... And just look at it.

A under under tank heat mat would be unnecessary for a bearded dragon. Since they are baskers...
