Id suggest looking for a lizard you don't mind watching... And just look at it.
Whoa.
Bearded dragons are interactive lizards.
They are among the most interactive and tolerant species today thus being so popular.
These are the opposite to say, Tokays (the odd one being tame) with beardies its the odd one being not!
Having had a few beardies myself I've had 'nasty' (more fearful than aggressive) ones and I've had the 'dog tame' ones, so have a few family members.
If you want a bearded connor, go for it. There good to look at and handleable every day.
Don't let decades of proof eg their popularity go right over your head..they are popular for a reason.
Good luck with whatever lizard you choose.
