You will never be 100% sure that what you buy these days from a lfs is pure red devil or midas.......The two have become comercially crossbred between each other that really, we should be naming it Midas Devil.......But to tell the deifference, the red devil has a much more pointy mouth, bigger lips.......The Midas on the other hand holds a more rounded-pit bull head........To be sure when ordering a fish to breed as a pure or just for a show, order from a repuable breeder/importer such as Jeff Rapps........Like I mentioned before, most red devils and midas in local stores are pretty much "flowerhorn" these days...........
