Can anyone tell me what the yellow one with the dark shading on the body is? there are 2 in the 1st pic.

Bottom blue fish is a juvi male johanni.............top right blue looks more like a maingano but not positive

thats what i thought too....the top right were labeled as johanni at the LFS but im hoping its a female maingano bec the color isn;t as dark.

how about this? im sorry i just want to know what i have lol. this was labeled as assorted africans hehe.

Looks like a hybird..............johanni have white piping not yellow like an auratus

Yep johanni. Just stick to one melanochromis species per tank. As they will crossbreed.

In your 3rd picture....the top right is a male Maingano....and the Maingano in the center is a female......you can definitely spot the color differences on the two. Male Maingano's are always a deeper blue than the females.
