ID my new save!

i picked this little guy at a small pet store, the fish looks like crap so i aim to hel it the best i can. its about 15" and its tail was severed, man or nature i don't know, but it still swims like a champ and looks good. it came in with another oscar that looked like it was intended as a fighting fish. it litterally looks like crap!

Looks like a channel cat to me, but IDK, I'm not too good at ID'ing cats.

I know for sure it isn't a gulper. They are like 30% mouth.

True.. but it has no tail so that ones like 45% mouth

well thats what we all thought here, but its mouth is so much smaller than a channel cats mouth.

if it was a gulper, it would have been the best $5 i've ever spent!

nice pick up, and nice save, he will try and eat anything that fits in his mouth though

well with his missing tail, he still can't swim his full potential, so im not super worried, but i still keep an eye out for my smaller guys
