Cool man :)
You're from Japan right :D ? Heard that they can be found in Japan ^^
I'm a little bit Japanese also :D I'm planning to move there lol.
It would be cool to have a Channa Argus/maculata in a tank then :D

I'm not originally from Japan, and yeah snakeheads were introduced here as a food source about 80 years ago! There are three species here;
C asiatica found in Okinawa.
C maculata found in Kyushu, Shikoku and some areas of mainland Japan (Honshu).
C argus found all over Japan apart from Okinawa.

It certainly would be cool to keep argus or maculata! They are true monsters. :D

wow cool man :D !
hm I saw a fishing short film about snakehead angling in Japan.
A guy caught a Argus in a pond somewhere in Tokyo xD
That would be so cool.."Living next to the snakeheads". :D

I first got into snakeheads after one snapped up my worm hook bait intended for carp! They are a really intelligent fish and so difficult to catch. All fish I'm fortunate enough to catch are treated with care and are released asap.

There are a number of s/h dvds on sale. The best being the 'Burst Out' series.

Here are a few of my favourite s/h ponds! For anyone who thinks s/hs don't need surface cover.... have a look at these!!! Enjoy :)

Wow so cool! Thank you for sharing these pictures :D

i think it is channa striata..some kind of variant, coz in here..we do catch channa striata with a bit yellow mark at the belly..but yours have more yellow

Most definately Channa Auranti.
Looks to be about 40-50cm.

Exactly the same color/pattern as mine when I have had to take them out of the water.
