The red texas I got from cjbarth had flowerlines too, as they grow out some will fade to red, some will stay green, and some stay green with red in the face. The flowerlines change too, fade, or stay. If I saw this fish at a store I would first think of it being a texas project, most likely red texas, then a possible flowerhorn attempt. It's a nice looking fish, if it gets along with your other fish I see no reason in getting rid of it.
