Yeah that looks like Bleheri to me too.
Mine were the opposite way around. Sold to be as Bleheri, but are actually Gachua of some description (no-ones confirmed for sure yet.)

that guy is an idiot... it's a channa bleheri for sure

The caudal fin does looks similar to Ch.bleheri. The fish in the picture has ventral fins which Ch.bleheri lack. The fish is Ch.gachua, and yes they do have the eye spot on the fin when young, this dissapears after they get about 2" or so.

the tail has spots which is one of the easiest ways to tell if it's a bleheri... gachuas have colored streaks running down their tail fins....

Certainly looks like C bleheri, but has caudal fins so can't be?! I've never seen any variety of gachua with full orange and black barred pectoral fins either so don't know lol.

Also looks too long and thin for a gachua which are usually shorter and thicker in the body.

Not Bleheri.

As said already, Bleheri DO NOT have ventral fins.
Some of the OPs photos you can clearly see Ventrals.

It is a Gachua.

Here is one of my Bleheri, look no ventral fins!!! :

Unreal, I wish we could get these guys in the U.S. I dont even want the big guys, this fish is perfect.

Sorry for the derail.....

Gachua for sure! Look like turquoise they usually have the eye spot on the dorsal, Bengal usually have an orange flash under the eyes!

Will post pics of mine when photobucket is back online!
