ID on small fish?

From montreal. Any ideas? i think they're minnows of some sort. roughly 1/2" long

i'm not convinced its a fathead... here's an enlarged pic, The nose seems too long. I don't know though. the largest one is about maybe 3/4" or more.

Not much to go on there. The pale, reflective lateral stripe makes me think juvenile common shiner. Can you tell if the scales are much taller than broad?

It's going to be pretty hard with such small fish. I'd recommend the NANFA forum where all the real native pros hang out. They'll be quite able to give you a positive ID. I could only throw guesses out, and I'm not willing to confuse you further on the off-chance I'm right.

It looks similar to some fish I have caught and some in my pond. I have 2 different fish that look similar. I believe one to be Fathead Minnow. At that size it looked kinda like that. But I am no expert. Here are some pics, one is older and one is more recent.
