Brown Trout for sure. Besides the color it has a long jaw which most Rainbows do not have and all Brown Trout do that I have seen and/or caught.

lol read the previous threads, there was evidence towards rainbow, and also their jaws are the same length. a good comparison photo, this is a rainbow. looks exact same just the red on this fish is more pronunced rainbow.jpg

If these idiots want to think its a brown, let them. Those of us who really know our trout know its a rainbow.

This is one of those threads people love to drag up from the dead, isn't it?

To me it is the spotting that is the most definitive feature in the O.P.'s photo. Rainbows have many more smaller spots scattered across the back versus the widely spaced and larger spots on a Brown. It's almost positively a rainbow, in my opinion.

^ Exactly, its so obvious that its a rainbow just by looking at the spots. Even if you dont notice the faint pink stripe, its still obvious that it doesnt have the brown spot pattern.

You guys are confusing me. I believe its a Brown but like I said earlier I really dont catch enough trout to know for sure....
