That photo is interesting in that it shows a fully mature breeding class kelberi that is not very big at all. Maybe 10 inches or so? Unless the guys hand is HUGE or something. That's a really nice fish! I wonder if Scat's will get that hump, too.

i agree, fully matured but still has body markings that are going to develop into color

Maybe, maybe not. They're highly variable. You can't tell from a single photo of a single specimen, as I am sure you already know all this of course.
