Yes, it's a variation. Actually Seiichi was the first one to show them to me back in 2005/06. I don't remember what he said about them other than they are hard to come by (then). Maybe that has changes now. I don't really know where they are from or much else about them other than they usually end up developing the middle rosette down the road a bit. I think they originated from Colombia, now that I think of it.

this lady was doing some kind research in Venezuela... and you can see she was catching intermedia all day long... so envy. I sent couple emails to her research email account, but never got a return.

I never really get irritated with double posts ;) You will notice in the recent past on back.... That I actually look upon them as GOOD ;) Mainly because the members that were active when the originals or past posts were posted are not the members who are active today ;0 HENCE they get to see the fish too ;)
