Here's one of my 2" Carpinte x BP for comparison. The half flowerline, the spotty pearls, the rusty body and fin color, the amber eye color, body shape, face shape...

Yep, 2", and I can already tell you that your fry will look way different than the one posted when it reaches 4+". You will know what I am talking about, just grow it out and if it turns out the same, call me out and yell at my face, I will take it:D It will be looking like a well........ a unfaded or even faded RT. much more broad body that elongated body like this other one.

Notice yours have that deep orange behind the gills? Typical BP or fader mix color, the one above have non of that. Looks as if it was bred with a yellow to orange non fading fish with a carpinte. Flower lines look different. Mouth shape looks different. Too young for some to tell, but head shape different.

You see the similarities btwn the shape of the mouth, head, long body, and the similar coloring of the trimac as the hybrid above(underneath his green carpinte dominant colors)?

I never said my ID was right, I clearly said it's "MY GUESS" with proofs to support my "guess". That's why this one looks to me like a carpinte dominant cross with a trimac or old school FH x festae.

How big is the fish in the original pic? I'd like to see better pics of it, because I'm still sticking to it.

Looks to be around 3.5-4", but maybe a little more. Yep, this is all a "guess". Stick to your guess. To pwn me, grow yours out a little more and prove me wrong :D Until then..... just relax..... It's a "guess".

I see no Trimac in this fish. It has no underbite, no red throat, no flowers in the places Trimacs or FH's have them. However, Carpintis definitely have flowerlines like that, one big flower in the middle of the body with smaller flowers leading back to the tail. I'd like to see better pics of the fish in question, I think the lighting is throwing off the color.

You are aware that not all trimacs have the same "underbite" lips right? There's also this thing called dominant and recessive genes. Not all frys come out the same as the original parent genes. Let's say he does post more pics, you will try to relate every thing you can to prove yourself right even though they share minimal similarities. Why? because dude... yours is a fry. Grow it out, then talk. Have you seen any FH frys at 2" looking same as 12"+ adult FHs? Do their color, body shape, head shape, flowerlines, and fins stay that same? You will of course answer "no", but hey! That's what you are trying to say here right now with your fry!:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Ppbbbff cool it, chief. I posted a pic and related things from fish to fish that are easy to see. I don't see any similarities between that fish and the Trimac, I'm sorry. If you're going to say it looks like one, why not post a pic of a Trimac that looks like the original posted fish? You're acting like I posted a 2" fish and said it looks like a 12" fish. That would be ridiculous. If the fish posted is around 4", as it looks, it's only 1-1.5" larger than my fish. Is it that out of line to compare? I don't think so. Anyhow, now my mind's off of this fish on on to what my fish is going to look like as an adult. :lol2: I'm hoping it (or the others) fade, but with my luck, they'll stay like this. Sort of teasing me with orange coloration, but not fading! :irked: I'll post pics of it in an inch or so. Who knows when that'll be though, at the rate these things are growing.
