I concur, especially given the location. They occur along brackish waters in the Atlantic seaboard. They are sold in the hobby as jade goby. They get big (2 feet) and fat.
My guess is Phil (Oddball) thought jpatz was in Melbourne, Australia, not Florida, because he's usually omniscient.
Dang It!!!! I did, in fact, think he's down under. Forget my 1st guess. It's a fat sleeper. I should have realized my error when I noted no white or yellow distal margin on the dorsals that similarly colored aussie species have.
