Got this little guy for 6.50 at lfs it was with a bunch of africans for some odd reason.... but i walked around looking at others to see if i can find this guy species.. he/she was getting a beatdown from those africans so i bough him he is in a 20g with x2 jewels untill i can get an id h'll stay in there.. hwne i figure out what he is ill probally move into into my sa/ca cichlid community 85g..

texas...! that would be great to go ino my 85g.. he'll be a heavy hitter once he gets bigger my dovii gotta watch out..LoL

Texas cichlid. Looks like Herichthy carpintis to me.

Texas and Carpintis are 2 different fish. Yours is not a Texas, it clearly looks like a carpintis of some sort. A Texas has spots, the Carpintis has blotches and patterns throughout the head.

i went on google and typed in Carpintis and it popped up and it sadi its common name are blah blah and green texas. so i guess i have a texas.
