Any Saxatilis is a friend of mine. Easiest and prettiest (IMO) group of pikes there are.

Agreed very debateable as for as prettiest. Easier without question.

I also agree that the pics are of a Sax species at least.

C'mon... whys everybody hating on the spangled pikes... No other Crenicichla can sparkle like a sax group. But I love them all. and there are atleast 40 to choose from... if you can get em.

Definitely not hating on them, on contrare I have kept several species in the past that I thought were gorgeous. I just believe that Lugubris tend to carry more color. And it doesn't help that I am partial to Lugs.
