ID? Red devil? Mid evil?

This fish was for sale as "FlowerHorn" for $40 but they moved it with the other Red devils and said they didn't know what it was and I could have it for $5.. So long story short, I said why not and took the fish home seeing how I have a empty 60 gallon tank right now. So what do you guys think? I think i posted a Iding thread before and someone said it was a Mid Evil when it was for sale for $40. Also Male or female? Well worth $5? Thanks for any advice in advance!

It does appear too pointy and angled backward for a female, thinking my venting skills are extremely rusty. When I first looked I thought it resembled a pistol trigger, pistol trigger=female. Sorry op, gonna NOT post in sexing threads for a while until I get my mojo back.
