The first looks like a young Cichlasoma Melanurum or Cichlasoma Syspilum. ( I can never tell the difference between the two when they are young) And the second fish looks like a young Cichlasoma Pantostictum. Is this correct?

Melanurum is correct on the first. You're both so close but wrong on the second.

My first guess on the 2nd fish would have been "blue labridens". Seeing as you say that is not correct already, maybe it is the green labridens "Rio Cazones"?
