I won't get into a hybrid / non hybrid discussion - because I know what it is.

It is a male, as well. Get it, if you like it.
 
That's cool and all but I breed texas hybrids. I also don't want to argue because I don't know... but that tex looks like a texas hybrid. The flash could have something to do with why we think its a hybrid, but can you do us(or me) a favor and post a few pics of some pure bred texas cichlids that look like this one? That will back up what your saying better than your posts of just words...
 
Crush - I hear where you are coming from, but if you find random photos of fish like this one, they will also be hybrids.
True Texas are a flat gray, with white dots all over, with the black markings you see in this fish.
