Id this fishy.... please

I went to get feeders from petco and saw these didnt know what they were the employee said they are cichlids just thrown in the wrong tank... so i made him fish through hundreds of fish to get me two lol it took him like 15 minutes... while i was just standing there like let me do it. i used to work for a petstore... Anyway here it is... Let me know it kinda looked like my baby LMB, but it doesnt have the sensor line or the big mouth lmao... and it has sorta a jewel on the side like a red jewel cichlid but no color like at all....

sunfish, probably a species common in your state.

I agree with sunfish. I netted 3/4" one in the fall and he looked identical to yours.

prolly a hybrid bluegill or some sunny but it looks kind of perchy possibly a eurasian ruffe but unlikely yet possible

i work at petco, we get these from time to time also. they're some sort of sunfish, very common.
