I went into my local PetCo today and spotted 2 sunfish. They came mixed in with the feeder goldfish. One looks like a bluegill, not sure about the other.

well sunfish makes sense, expecially if it was in a tank of feeders that are kept in ponds. my lfs, does that all the time, or they come with leaches or little leach like things form them being in the pond.

i'll also throw in a vote for a green sunfish, i've got 4 of them in a QT right now that i pulled out of the feeder tank at work(deathco) if they've got vertical lines of square spots then deffinitly green sunfish. i've seen six of them in about the last 2months and 4 were in just this last shipment, i'm sure if i look closely i'd find more.

in the first pic i would say it is a green sunfish, but the other pics they look like a longear sunfish

Sunfish. They come in with feeders from time to time.
