hi greenterra.

do you think mine is male or female?.
it's aggresiveness level is quite high. if not over the top.
it descaled and rip my male blackbelt. it was ok with a female fenes for 3 days but started chasing her afterwards.

cheers

We all know no two Jags will ever have the same patterns, it's just like no two humans will have the same finger print, right?

As for the Midas and RD, anyone that has ever kept any will already know that they are some of the most variable fishes out there so not point in already pointing.

Now for the as for the Firemouth, the red intensity may not be the same but the same basic colorations will be.

Different locations will produce different morphs.

Did you look at the link yourself? Some of those fishes are not even Synspilum.

And who's to say that most of the Synspilums in the hobby are not hybrids SynXBif. It's just like the MidasXRD deal IMO, if you want a pure fish, you'll have to get it from a reliable source.
I would agree about knowing the source. That's the thing with veija their very similar in body shape and color from one species to the next. Also there are alot of hybrids out there. My syn looks very similar to my blackbelt.

I'm leaning towards male but they are harder to sex than most fish. They can be very dominant fish.Their aggression is under rated IMO.
