$10 sounds good. Other pet stores call them WHITE PARROTS too. I bought 10 for $20 a long long time ago. All the males had nuchal humps... sad that I lost them all due to a heater that went mad.

Some say these are crossed between parrot and pink con. Some are also a deformed pink convict with a short body that has been bred to be this way.

Those are justregular pink convicts with beautiful coloring. They just look short because they are mature and are tall aswell. Awsome group, but their just regular cons. Never heard of convicts, but actually saw an LFS calling Midas Flamingo cichlids.

normal pink convicts. NOT JELLYBEAN.

At least one of them has a deformed notch of the caudal peduncle and the male pictured several times was previously dyed, either blue or pink.
I would say they were "jellybean" cons but since I am of the standing that JB cons are simply deformed pink cons, not BP x con, I say you have deformed pink cons.

They have obvious short bodies and bent spines, I'd cull them. Those would be feeders had they been born here. Ken

.Female's get the bright pink colorations and both female and male's can have a slight blue apperance on their fins/boddies.. Ussually females because they are more colorful and the contrast of the bright red/pink brings it out more. They look abit young to me though, I would keep them around and see how they turn out. I think they look very nice. The one pictured several times is normal, hasen't been dyed. Seen that on both pink and striped convicts. They all can get blue coloration.

If you think those fish look normal I'm going to make sure I never get any fryfrom you. That male in the last pic has a bent spine and is missing vertebrae, it's so obvious. The side shot in the previous picture shows a ripple effect in the body from the deformaties. Ken

LOL, didn't say they look normal. there are some deformaties but their color seems good and honestly if their not suffering no point in culling them now. They seem healthy, just "slightly" mishapen. Besides Ken, I'm not in the convict breeding business. ;)

If you bought fish from me and I sent you those would you be happy? I wouldn't. The purpose of culling is to remove bad genetics, which they have, no reason to bred fish like that and have more bad fish. Guy just brought me a batch of Geo tapajos, I culled 20% that had short gill plates and /or were scrawny. No need feeding fish that don't measure up. Ken
