actually they were sold as feeders but i bought them so i could keep itfishingaddict;923019; said:

Back when they were legal, I had them, and a 10 gallon works for only about a week or two, at most. (For two) (They eat only fish, typically)

they are actually eating pellets? This is unheard of.
And speedy growth... how long have you had them? If they are not growing, then something is wrong.

blood worms and pellets was probably what the fed them in the LFS...since the were sold as feeders..just remember to cover your tank, snakeheads are jumpers
they seem to be growing quite slow now
and a predator for a month
